First of all, DO NOT panic, your funds are 100% safe.

There could be one or more reasons depending on the situation as follows

  1. Name mismatch: The name mentioned in the bank account details should match account holder name
  2. Given account number and IFSC code should be valid
  3. If the account is linked and is active with any other user id then the verification would fail

Name mismatch example 1

PAN Name: S.V. Krishnamurthy

Bank Account Name: Shiva Venkateshwara Krishnamurthy

Name mismatch example 2

PAN Name: Krithika Singh

Bank Account Name: Krithika S.

In both the cases, it might be the same user but since the names don't match because of the initials, the bank account linking will fail.

What should you do in this case?

  • As mentioned earlier, DO NOT panic at first.
  • Reach out to us via "Talk to us" option from the profile section within the app
  • Our support team shall resolve the issue within 24-48 working hours.

What should you do in this case?

  • In this case, it is against our KYC and AML policy and we cannot allow users to withdraw funds to a different user's account
  • You should link the bank account of a same user who has done the KYC
